Chess Club
Background / History of CCA
VS Chess club was formed in 2008. It was started by Mr Pang, a VS Mathematics teacher. He formed the club, research for coaches for both Chinese Chess and International Chess. The club has grown and attracted talented chess players over the years.
Key Student Outcomes
The CCA will enable our students to:
Appreciate Chess as a life skill
Develop leadership and teamwork skills
Acquire planning skills and hence equip our boys the strategic life skills.
Cultivate the spirit of perseverance and resilience in our boys when face with life challenges.
